Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Fashion Designer intern at Apparel Specialist. As a Fashion Designer intern, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design and produce a range of clothing, accessories and footwear. The intern will be tasked with duties including market research, fabric selection, sketching and creating technical specifications for designs. Additionally, the intern will work with the team to coordinate sample production, fittings and alterations. Alongside developing an understanding of the design process, the intern will also be involved in ad-hoc marketing, trend analysis and general administrative activities.

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate in Fashion Design or relevant field
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong aesthetic sense and ability to translate ideas into visual designs
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Prior experience with design internships, freelance work or personal projects are a plus
• An understanding of sustainability and ethical production is desirable
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
